Professor Claude Griscelli is a Pediatrician and researcher specialized in Immunology . He has made major contributions to the study of genetic diseases affecting the immune system, particularly in identifying and characterizing "Griscelli syndrome", a rare immune deficiency disorder. His research advanced the understanding genetic mechanisms of immunodeficiencies and their treatments by cell and gene therapies. In 2007, he created  the IMAGINE Institute which is the unique medical and research center in genetic diseases in France. Throughout his career, Prof.Griscelli has held leadership positions in major research and health care institutions. As chairman of the pediatric clinical Immunology at NeckerChildren Hospital, he was a pioneer in allogeneic stem cell transplants. He has played a key role in the development of medical research in France as the CEOof INSERM. Prof.Griscelli is a High-Rank Officer of the Legion of Honour.
